    Hi Support Team,

We purchased your theme and initially installed it on a subdomain for testing purposes. Now, when we try to set up the same theme/application on another subdomain, we receive the following message:

“It seems that this purchase code is already activated. You can deactivate it in your account on our website.”

We understand that the license is intended for a single domain, and we agree with that licensing policy. However, in our case, we are using only one main domain, with multiple subdomains/locations under the same domain structure.

For example, our main domain is:

    abc.au

Under this single domain, we have multiple locations:

    http://www.abc.au/melbourne
    http://www.abc.au/sydney
    http://www.abc.au/brisbane
    http://www.abc.au/adelaide
    http://www.abc.au/tasmania

All of these are part of the same main website/domain (abc.au) and are not separate domains.

Our requirement is to use the same theme/application across these locations while maintaining everything under the one main domain. The initial installation on the subdomain was only for testing, and we now need to move/setup the application for the actual location structure.

Could you please clarify how the license activation works in this situation?

    Specifically:

    1. Does the license consider each subdomain/location as a separate website?
    2. If all installations are under the same main domain, can the same purchase license be used?
    3. Is there any recommended setup from your side for using the theme across multiple locations under a single domain?
    4. If a single license does not support using the theme across multiple subdomains under the same main domain, then unfortunately there would be no practical value for us in purchasing this theme.

We are using one main domain only, and the multiple locations are part of the same website/business structure. We would appreciate your guidance on how to activate the license correctly without purchasing additional licenses for each location.

    Thank you for your support.

    Hello,

Thank you for the detailed explanation.

If all of your locations are part of a single WordPress Multisite installation, you can use one regular WoodMart license for the entire project.

For example, if your setup is

    melbourne.abc.au
    sydney.abc.au
    brisbane.abc.au
    adelaide.abc.au

and all of these sites are managed within the same WordPress Multisite installation, you do not need to activate the WoodMart license separately on each subdomain.

You can activate the license on your main production domain. A development/staging domain for the same project can also be used.

In your current case, the activation message is likely appearing because the purchase code is still activated on the initial testing installation. You can deactivate the existing activation from your account and then activate it on the intended production installation.

Therefore, your described Multisite setup is supported with a single regular WoodMart license, provided all the subdomains are part of the same WordPress Multisite project.

    Best Regards
