Taidgh RichardsParticipantTo be honest I am not 100% if this is an issue with the theme but I am simply at a loss as to what is going on. I am currently editing photos to a completely white background, on my desktop viewing through photo viewer or sending them via facebook the background is pure white. However when I upload the product image into woocommerce, occasionally there appears light blue rectangular shapes towards the top and middle where it should be pure white. The blue is exaggerated if the monitor is looked upon from below, looking up towards to the monitor.
I have attached a link to a relevant product page where this is occurring. Once I changed from a jpg to a png file most of the images were fixed, however, it is still occurring in some instances like the page I have linked. I have also attached the original file to show that it is pure white background before uploading then when it is displayed the problem occurs.

Artem TemosKeymasterHello,
Thank you so much for purchasing our theme and contacting our support center.
We just tested your website but didn’t notice any light blue rectangles on your product page. Images are clearly white, here is a screenshot https://gyazo.com/efa548b6ffff4bd89f5ece57b3b121ce
Kind Regards

Taidgh RichardsParticipantEven on the screenshot you have sent me I can see it, perhaps it is exaggerated on different monitors. However using a colour dropper extension tool for chrome and hovering it on the background towards the top it changes from #FFFFFF which is pure white to #FDFFFD. To prove there is an issue once it has been uploaded to wordpress/basel theme, I have uploaded the same image to a free image host (https://ibb.co/d59USe) using the same dropper extension I can verify the background is completely pure white. In this link you can see where the colour is changing from pure white. (https://imgur.com/a/iOnsPyK)

Artem TemosKeymasterCould you please check how it works with some default WordPress theme like twentysixteen to understand is it our theme issue or not?
August 20, 2018 at 1:49 pm #73403
Taidgh RichardsParticipantI have checked using twentysixteen, the issue is still occurring, which suggests it is an issue once the image is uploaded to wordpress, and not an issue with your theme. Thank you for your help.

Taidgh

Artem TemosKeymasterStrange, we never faced similar issues before. Maybe you have some additional plugins for images optimizations that cause this.

Taidgh RichardsParticipantI have tested it on another website that I own with Basel as well and the issue still exists. If it is was something wrong with the image itself then it would appear with the light blue colour across all platforms it was uploaded to, but it is only occurring once it is uploaded to WordPress. Perhaps WordPress performs some automatic resizing or adjustment of images?

Artem TemosKeymasterYes, WordPress has a resizing tool and it creates a few thumbnails for each image uploaded to the library.

Taidgh RichardsParticipantThe issue has been resolved, I contacted a wordpress support forum. I needed to disable Jetpack’s “Serve images from our global CDN”, the images now appear as desired. In case you run into the issue again.
Muito Obrigado,
Taidgh
