Linked Variations Issue

One our website we have only single products that we want to be displayed as variations. We have enabled from theme settings the linked variations option. We have also created from linked variations one demo with two products(linked to color attribute), but we cannot see the variations in the preview of the product or we see them as tags on the product image( without being clickable).
