Linked Variations Photo (attribute)

How does the photo thumbnail substitution work for Linked Variations?

In the Linked Variations section, I have a post with:
– selected products
– attributes
– attribute for the product image

On the product editing pages:
– attribute and value added (similar to Linked Variations)

In the attribute (similar to Linked Variations and products):
– loaded – Image swatch

But as a result, on the product pages in the Linked Variations block, preview photos of the products are shown, not photos from the Image swatch?

Maybe I’m not interpreting the function correctly?

Please allow me to explain: Linked Variations are combine products functionality, so the thumbnails should use separate products’s Product Image, not its galleries https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/linked-variations/

I didn’t mean the product gallery, but the photo uploaded to the attribute – Image swatch. That is, you can’t take a photo from there and have it go into Linked variations.

The problem here is more likely the terminology on the Linked Variations entry edit page, because it uses misleading terminology, for example:
“Attribute for the product image”
“Select an attribute that will be shown as product images.”

And also because on the attribute edit pages in the Swatch – Image swatch block you provide a photo as a hint: https://woodmart.xtemos.com/theme-settings-tooltips/image-swatch.jpg

Many people may perceive these things not as you planned: as the fact that instead of product thumbnails there will be photos of the attribute (Image swatch)

I would recommend that you change these texts, especially this phrase: “Select an attribute that will be shown as product images.”

Yes, the problem is in the terminology, the wording is incorrect (make it clearer). I completely removed the attribute that I selected in “Attribute for the product image”, now the photo from Image swatch is substituted, as I wanted

I also need help with another function:
/wp-admin/admin.php?page=xts_theme_settings&tab=shop_sidebar_section

“Sticky off canvas sidebar button”

I always have this setting enabled, but I’ve never seen this pinned button on mobile or desktop. Maybe there’s a style conflict somewhere.

1. We will consider reorganizing the Linked Variations options to improve usability.

2. As for the Sticky off-canvas sidebar button it is currently not displayed because the Mobile Bottom Navbar already includes a button that opens the off-canvas sidebar. Therefore, there is no need to show an additional button.
