DakenmarktParticipantDear Sir / Madam,
We run into the problem that string translations are ignored after updating WordPress and the theme.
We have added them all in the CMS (using Loco translate), but the texts remain in English.
Can you please help us further?
Thanks in advance

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Here is a video tutorial that should help you translate your website texts with a Loco Translate plugin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3NsDdMzsls&list=PLMw6W4rAaOgKKv0oexGHzpWBg1imvrval&index=3
Please check the video tutorial to see how to save the translation file correctly. You can remove the plugin and translations would remain. Also, translations would remain after each theme update.
In order to translate the WooCommerce strings, you need to create a separate translation in Loco > Plugins > WooCommerce in the same way as shown in the video.
Most strings relate to Woocommerce.
Best Regards

DakenmarktParticipantHello Elise,
We’ve added a translate file for every plugin (woocommerce), aswell for the woodmart theme, but it does not work anymore. It worked before, we can not find where the issue is, would you be able to check it for us when we create an account for you?
Thanks in advance.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
I see two translation files for Dutch. Please remove one of them, synchronize the translation, and let us know if the problem remains.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.

DakenmarktParticipantsynchronize doesnt help and with other theme’s the translations are correct this must be a woodmart issue.
Tell me what we can do ?March 1, 2023 at 7:52 pm #447487
DakenmarktParticipantit seems to be caused by contact form 7 in combination with woodmart …. do you have an other option for this?

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
You need to create the translation for this plugin in Loco > Plugins and translate the strings.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.

DakenmarktParticipantHi, The plugin Contact form 7 is translated in Loco. The problem is different.
When using this plugin on a product page it causes a bigger translation problem.. Our language is Dutch but in combination with a contact form suddenly all te text like SKU number, add to cart, CAtegories and so on turn in English.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Please deactivate all the plugins except these ones:
Slider Revolution
WPBakery Page Builder or Elementor
Woodmart Core
Contact Form 7
MailChimp for WordPress
WooCommerce
Safe SVGIf the problem has gone, activate the plugins one by one, checking the issue to detect which one causes the problem.
In case, the problem remains, even after all the plugins are deactivated, provide your site admin access (insert the site credentials into the Private content block under the message area) and confirm the permission for plugins deactivation, switching to the parent or default theme. As soon as we complete the testing we will enable all back, however, the site would be without plugins for 15-20 min. You would better make the full backup of your site.
Best Regards
