Login as dropdown like search and cart

The client is now asking for the header login to be a drop down item.

Any suggestions how best to implement this widget to this theme?

Actually, it is not that difficult.
Downloaded a widgets in menu plugin, downloaded a login widget plugin, added a menu area (copied the code for top-menu and changed menu name) next to the favorites, search and cart widget in templates-tags.php. CSS styling to fit in with your theme cart and search widget.
Voila, simple and quick instruction.
