Main product image showing in Variation Image Gallery

After the most recent theme update, I’m having an issue with the product image gallery –
On all product pages, the main product image is appearing in the variation image gallery. It’s also not letting me select/view the first thumbnail. Here is a link to a product page for reference:

I would like the gallery to only display the variation images, without duplicating the main image. We just need the main product image to show on the main Shop/category pages – not on the actual product page.

I have checked your site and noticed the following:
* You have set one image as the main product image. In addition, one of your variations includes the main image again within its variation gallery, so it’s being duplicated there as well.

* Since you’ve also set default variation form values, the page loads showing the variation gallery instead of the main product gallery.
If you remove the duplicate image from the variation gallery (and avoid adding the same image in the variation gallery), the issue should be resolved and your gallery will display correctly.

I removed the duplicate image from the Variation Image Gallery but the issue remains. It is still displaying the main product image in place of the first image of the Variation Image Gallery.
We do not want the main product image to show up anywhere but the main Shop/Category pages. The product page should only display images from the Variation Image Gallery.
Again, this issue only started happening after the last theme update.
Can you please take another look? Or is there some customized code I could use to make sure it doesn’t do that?
