Max height of products in shop grid and single product page

Hello,
I love the Woodmart theme BUT since a couple of days I’m searching for a solution:

When I import products from a wholesaler (just like others do from e.g. Amazon), all pictures have a different height which affects a uniform layout.
I find that cropping nor maconary is a usefull option to let your theme as shown in the demo’s rise to it’s full glory

So my question is:

• Is there ANY way to let the FULL picture appear (centered) in a fixed frame (e.g. 4:3 in the product grid and/or product page) with a white overflow regardless if the picture is horizontal or vertical?
• Alternatively is there a plugin that can create such pictures without cropping the main picture (either in the gallery and on import of the products?

I’m more that convinced that your answer(s) that offers a workable solution will aid far to many people to run their shop efficiently without having to waste time and edit imported pictures with external editors …

Thank you very much for choosing our theme and for contacting us.

The main image of the product is the functionality of Woocommerce and there is no option to set it in the middle. You will have to replace the images with good-quality ones. We cannot give you custom CSS and one image would be spread and another deformed.

We have not met the plugins that would cope with such a task.

After I posted my question, I seem to have found a middle of the road solution that works quite well for my needs: I installed a plugin called WP Paint and with it I can put e.g. long pictures into a rectangular horizontal frame. In doing so, I don’t break my horizontal grid anymore.
