    hi,

I am in appearance – menu (i don’t want to use bakery or elementor )
I create menu, add categories of products
    The questions are:
    – how can i set the number of columns in menu
    – what should I do to put categories which are on the same level one just below other and others at the same time (on the same level) I would like to be in separate columns with subcategories ( i can do only the second one)
    – is it possible to show the third level in the horizontal menu
    thanks

    Hello,

In Woodmart, columns aren’t set directly in the menu item settings. The mega menu content is built using an HTML Block, and you can edit that block with your page builder (Elementor or WPBakery) to add and arrange columns.

    Steps:

Navigate to HTML Blocks in your WordPress dashboard > Find or create the block assigned to your menu item > Use your page builder to insert columns and content as needed.

If you don’t want to use WPBakery or Elementor, you can still create your columns by editing the HTML Block directly using the WordPress block editor (Gutenberg).

For the menu item image, navigate to Appearance > Menus > Edit Menu > Expand the menu item and upload the menu item icon here: https://ibb.co/Kcn7409c

In your HTML Block, create multiple columns, and in each column, add an extra menu list widget and add manual links to specific categories. This will place each first-level category in its own column.

You can follow our step-by-step guide here: https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/mega-menu/

    thank you
you said: In your HTML Block, create multiple columns, and in each column, add an extra menu list widget and add manual links to specific categories. This will place each first-level category in its own column.

I know that but it takes a lot time to work manually over links, this is something i don’t have to do while setting menu in appearance ???

you wrot: For the menu item image, navigate to Appearance > Menus > Edit Menu > Expand the menu item and upload the menu item icon here: https://ibb.co/Kcn7409c

but I don’t want icon for the menu but image for the whole column for example as a background. The thing i don’t want to use builders because later i have to put links manually

    Hello,

    1. In general, such a menu – https://prnt.sc/Py6We_IVGuGD can be created through the HTML Block only. Send me access to the admin panel so I can check the structure and how to make the first level only.

    2. Select the type as Dropdown background – https://prnt.sc/5vs2KI6n6Fn6

    I await your response.

    Kind Regards

one more question, how is that while trying to make new page for example NEWS i can not add to that page widget “products archives” to make it look similar to real products archives in categories, I just wanted to make the same appearance but only for new products page

    #680866

    Hello,

    01. You need to create an HTML Block, create multiple columns, and in each column, add an extra menu list widget and add manual links to specific categories. This will place each first-level category in its own column.

You can follow our step-by-step guide here: https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/mega-menu/
For the other way, create separate menu items for each column from Appearance > Menus.

Assign them as First Level items, then drag subcategories under them > You can also set menu icons and edit the HTML block with Elementor, and use the mega menu widget and choose the specific menu under each column.

    02. Try to create a custom page for a new label and use the product grid or carousel widget and set the data source “Product with New label”.

I don’t understand “and use the mega menu widget and choose the specific menu under each column.”
could you be kind and explain more on that?

    #681320

    Hello,

    01. To display a background image in the menu, you need to add sub-menu items under that main menu item. Alternatively, you can use a specific HTML block to set the image as the drop-down background.

For your clarification, I have added the image background under the menu menu, check back your site and check the drop down background under the menu menu. This is the way it works.

    02. Create menu from Appearance > Menu for each category columns: https://postimg.cc/mh1H5QmG

And in the HTML Block Use the menu widget to show this.
