agouniParticipantHi,
I started translating the theme (version 5.2.0). Now you updated the theme and there must be a new text in the originale .pot file.
My question is how to merge the two files ? or how to include the new updated text to the translation I made for the previous version 5.2.0.PS. I am using Loco plugin

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Thank you very much for choosing our theme and for contacting us.
We suggest you to keep translated files in wp-content/languages/themes/woodmart-pt_PT.po folder. And you don’t need to merge anything. Your translation would remain.
Anyway do not forget to take the full backup of your site before the update.
Best Regards

agouniParticipantHi,
Thanks for you reply.
What I am asking is that the file I translated to french was for the version 5.2.0. The one in english with the actual version is different than the one the version 5.5.0 that I translated. The english .po of v5.2.5 is different than the one for the newest version.
Now my question is how can I get the new added english text to my .po that I have in french ?
Best Regards

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Yes, I follow you. Enter the Loco and edit your translation as you usually do, then click “Relocate” make sure that you have saved the file here: https://prnt.sc/vdwytk
Then make the full backup of the theme and update.
Best Regards

agouniParticipantHi,
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY MY QUESTION.
The file is already in that location.
Let’s say :
.po ORIGINAL version 5.2.0 is different than the .po ORIGINAL of the present version OK?
ME I HAVE the translation of .po ORIGINAL of version 5.2.0
How can I include the changes (in the present version) in the .po I already translated ?Lest say you added to the .po : “hello word, how are you ?”
This text is not in my translated file then it wont be translatedThanks

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Please refer to the Loco documentation or their support, unfortunately, we do not have the instruction on how to merge files.
Best Regards
