AmyPotatoHouseParticipantHi I have had woodmart on my original web for some time.
I have a new web – still in staging. Two things are not working on mobile.I have copied the settings from the original site, cleared cache and browsing history
1. Mobile menu – the hamburger is there but does not open. There is a menu attached to it. i have even tried to add a widget “Area after the mobile menu” but nothing shows up at all. (text and logo appear if I put that there, but the hamburger does not open)
2. Product carousels do not move – auto loop does not work, there are no arrows. It remains on one product.
Link to a page with the carousels – the hamburger can be seen from there at the top.
Everything works on the computer and iPad, it is just mobile. Everything works on my original site with the same settings.
Thanks
Amy

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Please deactivate all the plugins except these ones:
Slider Revolution
WPBakery Page Builder or Elementor
Woodmart Core
Contact Form 7
MailChimp for WordPress
WooCommerce
Safe SVGIf the problem has gone, activate the plugins one by one, checking the issue to detect which one causes the problem.
In case, the problem remains, even after all the plugins are deactivated, provide your site admin access (insert the site credentials into the Private content block under the message area) and confirm the permission for plugins deactivation, switching to the parent or default theme. As soon as we complete the testing we will enable all back, however, the site would be without plugins for 15-20 min. You would better make the full backup of your site.
Best Regards

AmyPotatoHouseParticipantHi
It seems to be a problem between Site ground Optimizer.I note that the original site has the menu in the “Area after the mobile menu” widget and not in the header – I remember this clash now.
I have all settings exactly the same as my original site but it is not working.
The original site has the menu working and also the sliders.
There has been a back up done and I give you permission to deactivate plugins

AmyPotatoHouseParticipantI have been in touch with site ground and I think that they have fixed the issue

AmyPotatoHouseParticipantActually – not quite.
Mobile menu now states
“create your first navigation menu here” – but there is one made and allocated – how do I get rid of that – I don’t see where to do that
Thank you

AmyPotatoHouseParticipantHi the siteground folk have helped again.
This is now sorted. Its a shame a major Theme and a major hosting can’t sort this. As Woodmart recommends Siteground, it is weird that some settings need to be changed to allow basic things such as a menu or a carousel.
Nothing further required atm
thank youOctober 28, 2023 at 1:50 am #508020
Elise NoromitMemberHello,
SiteGound is a great WordPress host, at the same time they have their own peculiarities the support knows that it is not the first time, the theme has not been installed properly, and they solve quickly.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
Best Regards

AmyPotatoHouseParticipantHi
Since that got changed, the link font is different from admin to front end.Site ground was deactivated again, but is not that. And so siteground say they can’t help as it isn’t their plugin.
If I go back to the back up the menu does not work.
Can you help?
Thanks
