justinterwebParticipantHi,
I asked the following question a couple of days ago:
“In the mobile menu is it possible to have the parent menu item expand to show the sub menu when clicked i.e. the same way as the has children arrow to the right of the parent menu item. For example if it is a custom menu item with just # as the link that when tapped it expands to show the submenu.”
Just following on from this I was hoping you could help find a solution. From a UX perspective we think it would be a great addition. Any help would be really appreciated in achieving this.
Many thanks.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Here is the demonstration of the mobile menu: https://gyazo.com/d2e8eda7f099bb3d6572f6a3b4ce05dc
You see: Home page is the parent menu item, the rest are sub-menu items. You can also make a three-level menu as it shown on the pages. The parent item (and any other item) may be a custom link with
#
not clickable and can be a link.Best Regards

justinterwebParticipantHi,
We understand how the current mobile menu works i.e. showing the children when clicking the arrow however we’re looking for an option/solution to make a parent menu (custom menu item) clickable and showing the children please (not just with the arrow but the whole menu item).
When we posted the question asking if it was possible in the comments section we were asked to post it here so that you could help find a solution to achieve this.
Hoping you can help.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Unfortunately, there is no option to do that. The menu item should have the option to lead to the link. And it is not possible to make both leads to the link and open the children.
Best Regards

justinterwebParticipantHi,
But if it doesn’t lead to a link i.e. if it is a custom menu item that you just want to have as a parent menu item. lots of other theme’s provide the option of making a parent menu item either click to expand or clickable link. When there is no link the parent menu item does nothing when tapped/clicked. It is very poor from a UX perspective.
As mentioned we were directed from the comments section with this message when we asked if this was possible – “Please, create a topic on our support forum and mention this comment. Send us your website link via the Private content field and we will try to help you.”
We would like some help to achieve this as per Woodmart’s reply. We will have to get it custom developed if you don’t provide any actual help.
Many thanks.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Unfortunately, there is no option to set the whole menu item clickable. It would require complicated customization which is not covered by our support. You will have to find a developer who would do it for you.
Best Regards
