Hello, this problem happens to every installation, even on a default new woodmart installation.

When a search element exists on the desktop header, then the search form on the mobile searches for products.

BUT when search element doesn’t exist on desktop haeder but only on mobile, then the search form on mobile menu searches for “post” post type, not for products.

    See attached images

    Thanks

    Hello,

Please enter the Search element on both desktop view and mobile view and set the post type you want to search.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.

    Best Regards

Obviously I don’t want to insert the search element on desktop, that’s why I started this topic. I only want the search to appear on mobile. And please don’t tell me to hide it with css. I don’t want the element to exist on desktop menu.

    Thanks

    Hello,

Please delete the Search element from the Desktop and configure the searching for the products.

If it does not work, please insert the site credentials into the Private content below the content block. We will check deeper.

    Best Regards

    Hi,
I have chosen the “page” post type, but the search box in the top bar header yields results from “products”!

    Hello,

Please deactivate all the plugins except these ones:

    Slider Revolution
    WPBakery Page Builder or Elementor
    Woodmart Core
    Contact Form 7
    MailChimp for WordPress
    WooCommerce
    Safe SVG
Switch to the parent theme and check.

If the problem has gone, activate the plugins one by one, checking the issue to detect which one causes the problem.

In case, the problem remains, even after all the plugins are deactivated, provide your site admin access (insert the site credentials into the Private content block under the message area) and confirm the permission for plugins deactivation, switching to the parent or default theme. As soon as we complete the testing we will enable all back, however, the site would be without plugins for 15-20 min. You would better make the full backup of your site.

    Best Regards
