kingsizefairyParticipantHi, I am really struggling here.
I had set up everything on my sandbox page , where I am usually trying out things before I put them on the live site.
Yesterday I thought it would be a great idea to install woodmart and the child theme on my live page and then export/import the woodmart settings.
Boy, was I wrong …
Installing woodmart on the live page means, you install it and it gets published as theme right away. To deactivate and reactivate my original template caused the site to break as everything was messed up.
So I put the site offline for maintenance, while working on it.
Exporting settings? Does not work or at least I do not know how.
Exporting/importing pages from the staging page with WP tools? Error 403
So I went to and fro and copied all the settings by hand from the staging page to the live page. It took me ages to set up the front page the way I wanted it. I spent over one flaming hour with that stupid Revolution Slider, which is more revolting than revolutionary.
Then I had everything, phew, saved and published and – the slider was gone. Disappeared. Gone walkies. Offski.
I tried to reinstall the slider. When I finally managed, everything I had changed on the front page, where I had worked on so long, broke. Total mayhem.
It was now 2 in the morning, I was working on it since 7 in the evening yesterday, while my live site – my shop!!! – was offline.
I gave up and got the back-up reinstalled for the page to go online again.
So, I am pretty miffed off as one can imagine.
Is there anyone here kind enough to help me or talk me through what I would need to do?July 22, 2021 at 12:10 pm #308107
Artem TemosKeymasterHello,
Thank you for contacting us.
We are sorry that you faced difficulties working with our theme. As far as we understand, you tried to install our theme on your live website that already has a lot of content, right? By doing this, you need to manually import/export every aspect of your old website and there is no other way to do this. Sorry, but it is not something that is covered by our support. We can help you if you face any problems related to our theme directly. If you can’t import/export our Theme Settings, please, send us your website admin access and we will check what is wrong with this mechanism. Slider revolution may not work because of some kind of conflict with installed plugins so you need to deactivate them one by one to see which one causes this problem.
Kind Regards

kingsizefairyParticipantright,
so what you are saying is, I would need to have a fresh install with woodmart and then import everything from my old website into this fresh installation.
That about right?July 22, 2021 at 1:50 pm #308118
Artem TemosKeymasterYes, it would be the best way. Create a fresh installation and move your content part by part.
