1. This padding is important for all the Woocommerce templates, in order to remove it from the home page you need to add this negative margin to the first section if you use Elementor https://prnt.sc/uhivji or set margin-top:-40px in the upper row settings: http://prntscr.com/lexqqs for WP bakery page builder.
2. The problem may be caused by incorrect HTTP and HTTPS configuration: https://domain.com is the actual site URL, however, http://domain.com is used in Dashboard > Settings > General. In this case, it is necessary to configure URLs correctly.
3. As for the widgets it is the WordPress bug, please install the free Classic widgets plugin.
