My translation is missing with theme update

Hello,
I have a site which I translated to German using Loco. Everything was fine but when I updated my theme some days ago I lost my translation. Unfortunately My hosting has no backup system and I also do not have any personal backup. So, Now I tried to do the translation again with child theme but I found that when I am creating a language file on child theme I am not getting words from the parent theme.
So, what can I do to solve it? So that in future I never lost it again or I do not need to do translation every time after theme update

I am so sorry, you have not made the full backup before updating. Please do always before the update, new plugins or any testing.

You need to translate the parent theme only, but, please save the translation in the proper place: wp-content/languages/themes/woodmart-pt_PT.po folder

In this case, the translation would remain after updates and even if you delete the Loco plugin.
