manhsonleParticipantMy website was cloned when using the Woodmart theme. First, through the website https://www.dmca.com/, we discovered that another site was copying ours. After confirming the cloning, we changed servers and reinstalled Woodmart. However, as soon as we installed Woodmart, our cloned site appeared identical to the newly installed site.

Artem TemosKeymasterHello,
Sorry, but your question is not quite clear. Could you please clarify how it is related to our theme?
Kind Regards

manhsonleParticipantI just reinstalled the Woodmart theme. Can you check the two pages that look almost identical? This happened after installing Woodmart. If I install a different theme, it doesn’t happen.

manhsonleParticipantWhen I make any content changes, the cloned site almost immediately mirrors those changes. Furthermore, to ensure that the issue stems from the Woodmart theme, I installed WordPress on a new server. At that point, the cloned site showed a 404 error. But, about 1-2 minutes after installing Woodmart, the cloned site went live and had content identical to my site. Moreover, if I reinstall WordPress and use a different theme, this doesn’t happen; the cloned site displays a 404 error.

manhsonleParticipantOn the new server, I didn’t install any plugins, and Woodmart was the first theme I installed. I tried setting up the server from scratch about 5 times before concluding that the issue originates from the Woodmart theme.

ingenuitorParticipantHello @manhsonle, I am keen to learn more about this. Could you please share additional details, including the source site and the cloned site? This information would be greatly appreciated by all of us using this forum.
As an advocate for thoroughness, I suggest carefully examining your source code to confirm the absence of any scripts or elements that weren’t originally part of the source code. This measure can assist in identifying and addressing any potential issues.

manhsonleParticipant@ingenuitor I have provided the source site and cloned site to the admin. I will wait a bit longer for the Woodmart theme team to inspect it.
Furthermore, as I mentioned, I freshly installed WordPress and the cloning issue occurred right after I installed the Woodmart theme (latest version downloaded from Themeforest). I hadn’t even entered the activation key when the problem arose.
I have installed and reinstalled multiple times before concluding that the issue is with Woodmart.
For those who are using the Woodmart theme, you can install DMCA on your website to check if your website has been cloned or not. As shown in the picture, my issue only appeared 5 days ago. https://prnt.sc/0UBrEOD08V5kOctober 18, 2023 at 8:40 am #504975

I hope the Woodmart team can check this for me soon. My website is operational, and we are suffering significant losses with each passing day. Ideally, we would have installed a different theme and set up our website in a day. However, considering the significant impact on those who use the Woodmart theme, I’ve reset our website so you can more easily diagnose and fix the problem. I sincerely hope the Woodmart team can resolve this issue today. Thank you.- This reply was modified 1 year, 1 month ago by manhsonle.

Artem TemosKeymasterHello,
If we change the theme we see a different theme activated on the “clone” website too.
It means that both websites are actually the same. We don’t see anything related to the theme itself in this situation. https://gyazo.com/d6d198741fb359ecfd36648f80727a43Kind Regards

I feel that you checked very carelessly, while this is a very serious issue.
Please click on the link I provided, and you will see two identical websites.
Edit the product there, and you will see it change immediately on the cloned site.

Artem TemosKeymasterYes, we checked this and understood what you mean. But you wrote that it happens only when WoodMart is active and we showed that it is not related to the theme at all. No matter which theme is active, both websites show the same.
Actually, I’m almost sure that it is not a “clone” but just the same website pointing to the same server. Probably, some error in your DNS or other server-related configuration.
Kind Regards

manhsonleParticipantI would like to reiterate that when I use a different theme, the website is not cloned like that. I have reinstalled the Rey theme and encountered no problems. However, to make it easier for you to inspect the issue I’m facing, I have reinstalled the Woodmart theme.

manhsonleParticipantAdditionally, the server is new, and the DNS is entirely correct. If I reinstall WordPress and reset it, the cloned site will not work. It only works when I install the Woodmart theme. If needed, we can reinstall it, and you can inspect that cloned site.

Artem TemosKeymasterOK, please, create an empty WordPress installation so we can try to install the theme for you and see if it affects it somehow.
Kind Regards

manhsonleParticipantOk, I have created an empty WordPress installation.

Artem TemosKeymasterAs we can see, the second website is already the same as this new one. Please, test from your end.
