Newsletter popup page reload on submit

Hi,

The newsletter popup reloads page on submit. Is there any way to prevent this as reloading the page will not give the user a message if he has been subscribed or not?

Please deactivate all the plugins not related to the theme and switch the parent theme, check the issue, if the problem remains, leave the plugins not activated and provide the site admin access to the private area

I refer to the fact that once you fill in the newsletter popup email address and click Submit the page will reload. The same behavior is present on your demo website.

The desired behavior is to submit the newsletter popup and have a message displayed to the user that he has or has not been subscribed instead of reloading the page…

Have you configured the Newsletter plugin and integrated it to the Newsletter account?

The MC4WP plugin that was installed with the theme is configured and integrated with MailChimp account.

The integration works without any issues. The problem is that submitting the Newsletter popup will reload the page and no message is displayed if the user has been subscribed or not. The expected behavior is that the page will not be reloaded, form will be submitted with Ajax and a message of success / error will be displayed to the user.

Please check the plugin on a page with a default page to find out if our theme causes the problem or it is the way the plugin works.

I believe this is a theme bug, the fact that it does not Ajax submit the newsletter popup form.

We have already spent 3 days on this bug and have yet to find a solution. Since this popup comes with the theme and also the submit form, it would be only normal to be built in the theme that it is submitted without a page refresh. However, the actual behavior and result is very disappointing, not to say misleading.

Perhaps this can be proposed on the roadmap features for next updates? Keep in mind that having a functionality that does not work is completely useless for the developer and end customer.

It would be really helpful as the UX is quite bad after a subscription in the pop-up. It reloads the page and no message is presented to the customer (only if they would come to the idea of opening the newsletter pop-up again)
