Not handling products with lots of variations very well

We’ve just setup shop with Basel – have imported approx 50 products with each about 120 variations. The single product pages load in about 6 seconds. The category pages in about 15 seconds. Up till 5 minutes ago it wasn’t even working, until I raised the php memory limit to 512MB (which is not an option on release).

A solution would be very welcome. Thank you!

Thank you for using our theme.

We just looked at your web-site and see that product page has some additional fields that comes with 3d party plugin. So it may cause this loading issue. Could you please test how it works with standard WordPress theme? Is it happening only with Basel? If it is some plugins issues unfortunately we don’t have any solution for this at the moment.
