    Hello,

I noticed an unexpected change in the behavior of variation swatches on the product grid.

Previously, when a variation (for example a size) was out of stock, it appeared in the shop/catalog grid with a red strike line indicating that the variation was unavailable. This allowed customers to immediately see which sizes were out of stock without needing to open the product page.

Recently this stopped working. Now, on the shop grid all variations appear as available, and the customer needs to open the product page to check whether the size is out of stock or not.

This significantly worsens the user experience because previously customers could quickly identify available sizes directly from the product grid.

I checked the WooCommerce inventory settings and Woodmart swatches settings and everything seems correct.

Could you please help verify what might be causing this issue or which setting controls the display of out-of-stock variations in the shop grid?

As we can see, the “hide out of stock products” option is turned off on your website at the moment. https://gyazo.com/ac90106fe96ff6cd53bbd23765e1e1b1
You need to enable it in WooCommerce settings to make it work.

    Hello,

If I enable the “Hide out of stock products” option, the Waitlist feature will stop working properly.

The reason is that when this option is enabled, out-of-stock products are completely hidden from customers, so they cannot access the product page to join the waitlist.

In my case, I need customers to see the out-of-stock product and join the waitlist, which is why the option Configurações > Loja > Lista de espera (Waitlist) is enabled.

If I activate Hide out of stock products, customers will not be able to view the product page and therefore cannot subscribe to the waitlist.

Could you please confirm if there is a way to keep out-of-stock products visible while still allowing the waitlist feature to work correctly?

    Thank you.

Thanks for the clarification. At the moment, the product grid swatches don’t show per-variation stock statuses (strike-through) when out-of-stock products are visible in the catalog. That visual indication on the grid works only if WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Inventory > Hide out of stock items is enabled, which does conflict with waitlist workflows since hidden products can’t be accessed.

There isn’t a built-in way to keep out-of-stock products visible and simultaneously show the strike-through for unavailable variations on the grid. You can keep the option disabled to allow the waitlist, but customers will need to open the product page to see which sizes are unavailable. We understand this use case and will consider adding a solution in a future update.
