Pages and Products

Hi,

1. I’m a little confused with the products and pages section within the admin bar. Which one should I be creating products? Which one to create shop (category) pages?

2. Under the theme settings option menu, there is shop and there is product. How to set new pages created to the respective menu? This is already related to the above.

3. I created some header changes and it shows up under home page and a shop page (I downloaded from demo) within the pages sections. However, it does not show on pages I selected from the product pages section? Again related to 1st question.

First of all, you create pages and products, then you create the menu in Appearance > Menu https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Menu_User_Guide

Then you configure the Heade builder to show you the menu in the Header https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/header-builder/

If you have one Heder on one page and another on the other, check the page options: https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/options-for-pages/ Custom header for this page – If you are using our header builder for your header configuration you can select a different layout from the list for this particular page;

I followed the instructions above. In fact when I add a new product, there are no head options. This is the same for edit products.

Header options only appear under pages page but not product pages. See screenshot below. Do I need to convert product page to pages page?

Do you mean “Custom header”? No, a product page does not have the option. If you convert product page into page you would not be able to sell your products.

I don’t need a custom header for the product pages, but they should have the same header as the other pages. The header was created in the header builder and it shows up on the home page and other pages, just not on product page. Where did it go wrong?

Navigate to the shop page and check the custom header field, make sure the header is the same as on other pages or provide your site admin access we shall check and inform.
