Pagination Issue

Hello,

On our products page, when scrolling there is an issue where if you go down past a page, then click into a product, then go back, it sends you to the top of the last page you were on instead of where you left off. This is an issue for mobile users primarily as they will scroll on the products and then be sent down a whole page just for clicking into a product. How can we make it so the user returns to where they were on infinite scrolling when going back?

When you back from the product page to the shop it returns to the actual page you scrolled to. For example, if you scroll down 4 pages, go to the product, and back, then you will not see all the previous products. You will be on the 4th page of your store.

Yes, how can we fix it so that there is no paging and that it just returns to the entire catalog of infinite scrolling. We do not want to lose pages of scrolling when we go into a specific page. Similarly, if the first item of the page is clicked on mobile for instance, and then the user goes back, they are missing an entire pages worth of content which is not ideal.

Unfortunately, we can’t change this behavior. Products are loaded with AJAX when you scroll pages one by one. There is no page, for example, where you have all the products loaded up to the 4th page.

is there a way to return the user to page 1 instead of the page they were on prior? We would rather them lose track and start at the top instead of them missing products.

You can disable this option in Theme Settings -> Product archive -> Products grid -> “Keep the page number in the URL”.
