rtvrecordsParticipantHello,
I’m having an issue with the password reset process on my website. When a user requests a password reset, they receive the email and click the reset link. However, instead of opening the page where they can set a new password, the link redirects them back to the “My Account” login page asking for the email again.
Could you please check why the reset link doesn’t take users directly to the “set new password” form?
Thank you,

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Could you please check how it works with some default WordPress themes like WooCommerce Storefront or Twenty-Twenty-Five to understand if it is our theme issue or not?
Best Regards,

italyanaParticipantHello,
I have the same problem, and I tested with Storefront or Twenty-Twenty-Five and it works fine.

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Please deactivate all the 3rd party plugins and activate only theme-required plugins on the site, and then check the issue. I am sure your issue will be solved. Then activate the 3rd party plugins one by one and check which plugin is creating the issue for you.
Otherwise, if the issue still exists, then keep the 3rd party plugins deactivated and share the WP login details, so I can check and give you a possible solution. Also, switch the child theme to the parent theme if you are using a child theme.

italyanaParticipantI just apply your last 2 patchs and now the problem is fixed

rtvrecordsParticipantHi Andrea
what was the plugin that you deactivated ? to solve this situation?
thanks
October 31, 2025 at 5:18 pm #693809
italyanaParticipantThe problem wasn’t caused by any plugin.
Before testing by disabling all plugins, I noticed that you had just released two patches. I applied them, then ran a test by purchasing something with a new account. I received the password creation email, and it worked perfectly — clicking on the link opened the correct page for creating a new password.
Patches applied:

FIXED: Display of the “Category Filter” widget when WooCommerce lookup table enabled for catalog filtering. (Topic)

October 31, 2025 at 6:00 pm #693817
italyanaParticipantYes, this is correct, the link is made to go to the page to reset or create a new password.

italyanaParticipantHello,
After two weeks, the problem has come back.
I make a deep test and I discover that the problem is the Plugin Yoas SEO, if it is activated, the password reset doesn’t work.Do you have any suggestions to fix this? I just sent an email to the Yoast support as well.
Thanks
AndreaNovember 10, 2025 at 2:20 pm #695144
italyanaParticipantSOLVED
I disabled the Advanced: URL cleanup in YOAST SEO
