PayPal Smart buttons not loading every time

I have had this issue for weeks and sadly the Angelleye developer is not getting back to me. Last time I had correspondence over it, it was mentioned to check if it is theme related. So the issue is that on Chrome and Opera the button does not appear, then refresh and it appears, then refresh and it disappears again.

It seems to be linked to the hide cross-sells in the cart page? Any help appreciated as I am not getting any sales at all. I am getting emails saying people can’t order.

Please make the full backup of your site as well as the Theme settings export and check the issue on the Storefront theme to detect if our theme causes the problem. Storefront is a free theme developed by Woocommerce.

I tested with storefront and the buttons appear. Also I have a problem that the fontawesome icons don’t load. Have tried a number of fixes including storing them elsewhere. Perhaps related? Have tried child and base theme for both issues and still the same.

In order to show the icons, please enable “Always use” in the Theme Settings > Performance > CSS.
