PHP 8.4

today i updated my basel core from version 5.9.1 installed to 5.9.3.

then i saw a message on my WP dashboard: Envato Market: Your site is running PHP 7.4.33.12, which has reached end-of-life and no longer receives security updates. Please upgrade to PHP 8.2 or higher. Support for PHP versions below 8.2 will be removed in June 2026.

so i updated my server PHP from 7.8 to 8.4

then my woocommerce stopped working and the add to cart button would just spin when trying to add to cart.

so i reverted back to basel 5.9.1 and PHP 7.8 and im back up and running

moving forward how do i update the core theme and the proper PHP so my site will run properly? i know PHP 7 will soon be a dead version and i cant afford for my site to stop taking orders.

please help!!

Hello,

Please update the PHP on your server to 8.4 and disable all plugins that are not related to our theme temporarily. Send us your admin access so we can check what is wrong.

We have updated the theme to the latest version on your website and don’t see any problems with the add to cart. That is why we ask you to provide us with more details about the problems you face after updating the theme.

did you activate all the plug-ins?

Sorry for the misunderstanding. But still, your website is working correctly at the moment. And you have the latest version of the theme and PHP installed. So what is actually wrong?

the link i provided you is a DUPLICATE of my site to test and figure out whats wrong and the test site is running PHP 8.4

my LIVE site is running PHP 7.4

and if you didn’t test any of the plugins then how do u know the site works??

We have tested our theme and theme-related plugins and they work as expected. If you have problems with other plugins from other developers then you need to contact their support for help. Please clarify what plugins you have problems with.

seriously?? then why did i pay for 6 months of support if you didn’t even test this??
AND revolution slider isnt even showing on the test site…..

i really hoped id get better help with this!

Yes, our support doesn’t include fixes of issues caused by third-party plugins. You can read about support rules on Envato here https://themeforest.net/page/item_support_policy
We have enabled the Slider Revolution plugin as well and it causes no conflicts with PHP 8+.

there are still tons of elements not appearing, background images, the slider, and many of the top nav pages dont load!

It has no relation to PHP and our theme. Most likely, all these issues will not be present on your live website.
