Pixelated category images on mobile version

We have pixelated category images on the mobile version of our website. For the first 3 categories in the front page.
How do we correct it?

Sorry but it happens since a couple of theme updates. it never happened before.
The category images are big: 1080x1080px.
We found out that when we refresh the page cache with wp-rocket, the first time we reload the page the images are fine. The second time they are blurred.
Ok: problem maybe found: we deactivated lazyload in wp-rocket. This setting in wp-rocket is not compatible with woodmart. Even with lazyload deactivated in woodmart.
