pop up age verification

Hi

Is three a way to have pop up age verification, for only one category. When we sell alkohol, the law requires that you say that you are over 18.

Is this possible?

Try to use the theme preset feature of our theme for a specific condition (Term ID) for a specific category and enable the Age verify popup from Theme Settings > General > Age verify popup.

When I activate the age verification, the popup appears correctly, but it is also shown on the main page, meaning the front page.

Should I open the settings preset and remove everything inside it? Or do I need to open each individual preset, uncheck that it should not open on bordered_grid_inside, and then remove inherit from it?

In other words, do I need to go through all presets and remove the setting, so that age verification is only activated for only_categories?

Also, should I fill in a condition? If yes, which condition should be used so the age verification popup only appears on the selected categories and not on the front page?

if so, please make a good video of how I do it.

You don’t need to remove or edit all presets — the issue is just that the Age Verification option is enabled globally.

To show the age verification popup only for a specific category, you need to configure a dedicated preset correctly:

Navigate to Theme Settings > Presets > Create a new preset (or edit your existing one) and Set the Condition to your target category:https://postimg.cc/PPK4gGqr . Inside this preset, enable the Age Verification Popup.

Make sure the Default (Global) preset has the Age Verification disabled.

Please deactivate all the 3rd party plugins and activate only theme-required plugins on the site and then check the issue. I am sure your issue will be solved. Then, activate the 3rd party plugins one by one and check which plugin is creating the issue for you.

Otherwise, if the issue still exists then keep the 3rd party plugins deactivated and share the WP admin login details of your site so I will check and give you a possible solution.

The pop-up is working through the dedicated preset settings, not from the global Theme Settings panel. That is why the global option can still appear as “Disabled”.

Please edit the specific preset for the category:

Navigate to Theme Settings > Presets > Edit “Age verify popup” preset. Inside that preset, you will see the Enable Age Verify pop-up option.

At the moment, the condition is applied to:
/vare-kategori/mad-og-drikke/fadoelsanlaeg/fadoel/

If you want the popup to appear earlier on:
/vare-kategori/mad-og-drikke/fadoelsanlaeg/

Then simply change the preset condition to that category instead. You do not need to enable the pop-up globally.

I checked your site behavior and the age verification pop-up is working correctly on page load, but it is not triggering on AJAX category navigation (when users click a category and the page content changes without a full reload).

This is why when you click the category (AJAX load) and the pop-up does not appear, and when you refresh the page, the pop-up appears normally. Try disabling it and check how it works.

Is there a way, that the popup is there all the time, so its not like a cookie.

So evertime you load the page the popup comes up?

By default, the Age Verification pop-up is stored in a cookie/local storage, so it only shows once per session/user.
