cristian-1741ParticipantHello!
I have a problem with products: I put them “private” but after a few days they come back “public ” by themselves. It’s been going on like this for a few months, we can’t figure out what the problem is. Do you have any idea?thank you very much!

Hung PhamParticipantHi cristian-1741,
By default, WoodMart theme does have an option
Login to see cart and pricesonly. Are you using an extra plugins to set Private products? Also, you can try to enable the maintenance mode in WooCommerce Settings > Site visibility and check again.
I also kindly recommend you to test the functionality with default WordPress themes such as TwentyTwenty or WooCommerce Storefront. This will help us determine whether the issue stems from our theme or elsewhere.
Best Regards

cristian-1741ParticipantHello,
I believe there might have been a misunderstanding, so I’d like to explain the issue I’m facing in detail.
Sometimes I set products to private because they are either out of stock and won’t be restocked, or because I’m still working on the product page and don’t want it to be visible yet.
The problem is that, for some products, after a few days, they automatically become visible again without me making any updates or changes.
This doesn’t happen to all products currently set to private — only to certain ones. For example, some of the SKUs that are causing problems are: VXMG0009 and VXMG0003. You can see them visible but I’ve make them private 8 days ago.
Can you help me understand why this is happening and how to fix it?
Thank you in advance for your support!
Best regards,

cristian-1741ParticipantHi Hung,
thank you very much! No, I don’t use any plugins to make products private.
Unfortunately, I can’t change the theme and keep it active for several days to check if a product becomes visible again, because otherwise, the website’s appearance would change, (Another theme doesn’t work well) and that wouldn’t be okay—it’s an e-commerce site, and customers buy every day.
These products become public again on their own, not immediately, but after a few days. I don’t think there’s a specific pattern, so I wouldn’t be able to figure it out…
I’m not sure how to fix this. I really appreciate it.best,

Hung PhamParticipantHi cristian-1741,
You can create a devsite – also called a Staging platform where you can test issues, enable/disable features/plugins thus such changes will affect the main site. The below article will help you to create it:
