problem with category images on the shop page as opposed to the category pages

Hello,
i have the same layout for both the shop page and all product category pages, but the product thumbnails on the shop page behave differently than on the category page? i can’t manage to draw them the same. please help. you can find the access data below.

i simply added the transparent svg to the category page and it is scaled perfectly. i use the same layout for the shop page, but the svg are zoomed to the edge and are much larger. a separate blank page was created for the shop page and stored in woocommerce default settings.

why is there a difference here and how can i pull this right away without having to redo all the thumbnails?
Is it right to create a separate empty shop page and link to it?
