I’m having a similar problem to the issue discussed here:

Products are not displaying in our search results. The interesting thing is if you type in a search term and just let the indicator spin and it opens a popup with results, products are displaying there. But if you hit the enter key on the search to take you to a search results page, there are no products there.
You can see an example of this at the URL included below.
I searched for “hat” and none of our hat products are present on the search results page. But if you just click the search icon in the top menu and just type in “hat” and don’t hit the enter key, there are hat products in the popup. I’m not sure if I’m just missing a setting somewhere or not.
