Problem with swatches

it seems that when i click on swatches the gallery doesnt change to the right variant image that was set.
what could be the problem and how do i fix it ?

The website is on development server so no access but the problem is that when you get inside a product page with swatch variants (color and size) when u click on the color and size the main image is not changed for the color u selected. if u wanna see diffrent image u need to scroll the additional thumn manually… normal functionality will be that the main image will be changed to the variant selected
