problems updating my website

I inherited this site which hasn’t been updated for seven years. When I make updates I’m having a lot of problems with the layout, almost all the pages work badly.

i forgot to write that at the moment auto update is disabled by functions.php

To safely update and migrate to PHP 8.3, we recommend:
- Creating a staging copy of the site
- Updating WordPress, plugins, and the theme step by step
- Rebuilding outdated page elements with the current version of the theme/builder.
