product attribute image not text

Hi, it’s very elegant if I can use the product attributes (in my case many colors of the same product) including images in the product archive page (main shop page with filters). It works great.
When I click on the product I still can see that attribute, but I am losing the image. I can see only the attribute text. How can I have both again in the singe product page?

Sorry to say but according to the default working of the other Attributes on the Single Product page right now, it only shows the Text without the Image. This is how it works currently.

Hi, could you kindly send me the code to replace in the Single Product page, my clients need the images with the text.
I do not think that is a great change, only adding to _get and show this information.

We are really sorry and apologize for the inconvenience & misunderstanding caused earlier with our response.

Actually, to be able to make the Attributes show Images on the Single Product page you need to make sure that the Product is a Variable Product first because if the Product is a Simple Product then it would show the Attribute information as a simple Text like it is showing now.

Then you need to make sure that you have uploaded the Swatch Images for the respective Attribute values which you are trying to show. Just like you can see one of the Variable Product on our Test Site: https://blackpearlspro.com/woodmart_support/product/eames-plastic-side-chair/

Hi, sorry but the 1st link is not working.

If I switch from single product to variable product the ‘attributes’ material becomes selectable. As explained before there are no different product articles with different materials, but it’s 1 product that has different materials. Showing them as text is very boring and showing the swatch images would be our goal. Those swatch images of the attributes are ‘shown only’.
It would be ok if the swatch images are selectable and that will go back to archive and automatically filters that material, but I think that is too much to ask you.

We have visited your Site now, actually the value terms of the Material attribute on your Site right now don’t have any Image Swatch uploaded for them and you have also not used them as Variants on the Products, which is why you aren’t able to see the Images for the Attribute values on the Single Product page.

Right now, we have created a Test Product and a Test Term for the Material attribute on your Site and you can see on the Product preview, the Image shows for it. Here is the Test Product URL on your Site: http://kett.ad-passion.it/produkt/test-product/

Your Site is LIVE right now so we have changed the Test Product from Published to Draft.

You can follow up that Test Product and Test attribute value and create like that for other Products too on your Site.

Your issue is now resolved.

Actually, the duplicate one that was showing was the Attribute Table that you had already enabled under the Theme Settings > Single Product > Elements > Show attribute table by short description > we have turned it off and now the Swatch appears fine on your Site.

Please check back your Site after completely clearing the browser and server cache.
