Product Categories widget dropdown not working on mobile devices

The “Product Categories” widget dropdown selection does not work on mobiles when the off-canvas sidebar is selected.
When attempting to select a category to filter out products it prompts me to type into a text input field with a flashing cursor.
It works fine on desktop – but not mobile.

Please deactivate all the third party plugins and provide the login details of the website.

Deactivated all plugins other than woocommerce related plugins and still no luck. I have turned off caching server-side and provided login deets in private content.

Please check how it works with the default wordpress theme.
Because the Categories widget is woocommerce functionality and our theme doesn’t influence.

How is that possible?
The off-canvas menu/filter that has the product category widget in place is a Woodmart specific function?
If I change the theme that function no longer exists.
