product category display

Hi,

how can the subcategory be set inside the first category? It comes out on the left category widget, and it shows in the home page category instead of the first category! please help

my point not how to add the product categories widget! the point is how to hide the subcategories inside main category and not show in home page main category.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Log in to your WordPress dashboard and go to the Products > Categories page.
Click on the main category to which you want to add a subcategory.
On the Edit Category page, scroll down to the Parent Category section.
From the dropdown menu, select the main category under which you want to add the subcategory.
Click on the Update button to save your changes.

appreciate your patience, sorry still have problem.
I enabled the toggle function but the subcategory FOAM PUMP BOTTLE show the same level as its parent category PLASTIC BOTTLE. I need the accordion effective in the shop page product categories list widget.

Go to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to Appearance > Widgets.
Find the shop page widget area.

In the widget settings, select the option under the ” Product Categories Style” dropdown menu.

1. The “Toggle function for categories widget” option adds the “arrow” button and functionality for showing hierarchy when you have a lot of categories and subcategories.

This option will work with the “Product Categories” widget in Appearance -> Widgets.

Also, the “Show hierarchy” option should be enabled in the “Product Categories” widget.

If these settings are not working on your site then deactivate all the 3rd party plugins and activate only theme-required plugins on the site and then check the issue. I am sure your issue will be solved. Then Activate the 3rd party plugins one by one and check which plugin is creating the issue for you.
Otherwise, if the issue still exists then keep the 3rd party plugins deactivated and share the WP admin login details of your site so I will check and give you a possible solution.
