    Hello Woodmart Support,

I’m encountering an issue with the product category widget that displays on the left-hand side of my product listing pages, such as in the “Art de la table” section.

I have a subcategory named “Service” that is correctly configured in the back office, but it does not appear in the list of subcategories for “Art de la table”, while all the others are showing as expected.

I’ve double-checked the settings, and I cannot find anything that would explain why this specific subcategory is missing from the widget.

Could you please take a look at my configuration and help me identify the cause?
I’ve included admin access to my site in a private note, as always, please be cautious since this is my live site.

Thank you very much in advance for your support.

    Best regards,
    Cédric M.

    Hello,

Disable this https://prnt.sc/8hh19WhSMe5J option in the settings of the widget, then recheck the issue.

    Let me know the result.

    Kind Regards

    Hello Luke,

I have just disabled the “Hide empty categories” option in my settings. This has correctly made my parent category named “Service” appear on the site.

However, the product count displayed next to the “Service” category shows (0). This is incorrect. This parent category contains several sub-categories that have products inside them.

It seems the product count for the parent category is not including the products from its child categories. This appears to be a bug.

Could you please advise on how to fix this? Is there a specific setting in the WoodMart theme options to ensure the parent category displays the correct total count of all products from its sub-categories?

    Thank you for your help.

Hello, following up on my ticket: I’ve found that the parent category count works only if I manually check both the parent and the child category on each product page. This confirms that the theme is not counting products from sub-categories recursively for the category count display. Is this the expected behavior, or is there a theme setting I can use to enable this feature

    Hello,

This is a default functionality of WooCommerce, our theme cannot influent it.

If you have any questions, let me know.

    Kind Regards
