Yes, you can change terms order in admin panel -> Products -> Attributes -> edit terms. Simply drag & drop them.

Here is a code snippet to change the color for sizes

.single-product-content .variations .swatches-select>div {

}

The order you can change in Products -> Attributes -> Edit terms. You can drag and drop items to reorder them.

As we stated previously, you can change the order in Products -> Attributes -> edit terms.
Compare plugin can be disabled in the Plugins section in your admin panel.
