Product Page – Show dropdown instead of color swatch
-
Dear,
In the product page link below, you’ll see that I added color for each of the variation. I did so because I want the colors to appear when hovering on the product in the shop page.
However, I wish that the product page & quick preview from shop page still shows the dropdown. How can I do that?
The reason why I ask this is the following. If I keep showing the swatch, then all the swatches are displayed even if they are not available in combinaison with the first attribute. However, if we use the dropdown, then the second dropdown of color contains only those available in combinaison with the first attribute.
THanks
Hello,
To display the color swatches on hover on the product grid item. You can try “Quick” design in the Theme Settings > Shop > Product Styles:

By default, variable product attributes are presented as a dropdown in WooCommerce. WoodMart theme suggests the option to present the attributes as swathes.
Swatches are enabled in Dashboard -> Products -> Attributes -> chose the attribute -> Configure Items -> Edit -> Enable swatch. All the attributes would be presented as text instead of a drop-down.
Best Regards.
Dear,
I think you did not understand my request. Please read it again.
I want to show the variations as dropdown on
– product page
– shop page > quick preview only
How can I do that please?
Thanks
Hello,
It is not possible to have drop-down on the product page and on the shop page/quick view.
You can show drop-down on the product page:
You need to clear the color, remove the image in the attribute item and disable “Enable swatch” in Dashboard -> Products -> Attributes -> chose the attribute -> Configure Items -> Edit and you will get the drop-down on the product page.
As for the shop page and quick view, attributes would not be displayed there in this case.
Best Regards
I’ve added this in the feature requests. Please close this ticket, thanks
