Product Page with recent items and attribute filters

Hi,
Whats the best way to have a page with “Recent Products” and my product attributes in the left sidebar?
Right now I, add the Recent Products module to a page and a sidebar with attributes in a Woocommerce Layered Nav widget.
But When I click an attribute it doesn’t filter the product list.

On this page, the filters on the left don’t change the products to the right. And there is no pagination.
This page is using the Recent Products visual composer widget. Is there a better way to show all the newest products where the filter also works?
WooCommerce filters and pagination can be applied for the shop page only. They don’t work with WooCommerce products shortcodes (VC elements).
