    Hi,

    I have a slight issue.

    1) I have 2 videos on my product page, placed in the description area
    2) On desktop there is a thumbnail showing in both videos
    3) On mobile its a black screen – no thumbnails are showing

    Steps I have taken:

    – I have disabled each plug in one by one to see if it could conflict with woodmart theme.

I hope you can kindly help please.

    Thank you!

Please see private content. Thank you

    Hello,

Edit the video widget and add a custom poster image/thumbnail for each video. This will act as the preview on both desktop and mobile: https://postimg.cc/hXjjFxTF

    Hi,

I have over 400 products or so. This will be extremely long.

Surely, there must be another way. As on desktop the thumbnail is already showing? its just mobile it is blank.

    Hi,

I have received your email suggesting its working now but it is definately not working. I have checked on multiple phones and cleared the cache.

I’ve noticed in the screenshot you sent, you played the video first.

Please do it without clicking play.

    The screen is still blank.

    Hello,

We have reviewed the situation with the video display on the product page and would like to explain why, on mobile devices, a black screen appears instead of a video preview.

This issue is not related to our theme itself but comes from the technical limitations of the IOS operating system.

On a desktop, most browsers automatically display the first frame of a video as a preview. On mobile devices, however, preview frames are not loaded by default. This behavior is intentional, as iOS restricts auto-loading of video data in order to save bandwidth and battery life. As a result, if no preview image is specified, users will only see a black screen.
To ensure videos display correctly on mobile devices, it is necessary to add the poster image to each video. This image will be shown as the preview or cover until the user starts playing the video.

    Hi,

Is there a quick way to upload ‘poster images’ in bulk for all videos?

Ideally in a way where it. captures the first frame of the video to be used as a thumbnail (similarly to how it is on desktop)

    #686363

    Hello,

Sorry, but there is no option in Theme Settings to upload a bulk poster image available for that.

It requires customization, and this is beyond our limitations and support policy.

How about a generic image? like a play button??

If i want to use the same poster image for all videos… is that possible? surely that should be

So it’s only applicable for mobile

    #686605

    Hello,

Unfortunately, it is not possible. The HTML structure does not allow solving it. Such modification requires complicated WooCommerce code customization, which is not covered by our support.

    Best Regards,
