In WordPress settings under “General,” even after unchecking “Anyone can register,” users are still able to register through the WoodMart registration page.
I do want customers to be able to sign up and log in, but recently there has been a sudden increase in spam user registrations, which is concerning.
Is it possible to use something like Google reCAPTCHA v3 to prevent this issue? If so, where should I implement it to ensure it works properly?
Unfortunately, our theme doesn’t include any spam blockers.
Use a strong password: Make sure that all user accounts on your website have strong passwords. This will help prevent automated bots from creating accounts. You will have to find an anti-spam plugin, there are a lot.
