    Hi,

I would like to ask you something about the Instagram API and the integration with WoodMart. While connecting my IG account, WoodMart shows normally the Instagram section on my home page but I also found on my media library 25 Instagram photos from my IG profile saved as jpeg. Is this a normal behaviour of the integration? As it brings via web the recent IG photos why are they also saved into my library?

    Regards,
    Dimitris

    Hello,

When Instagram is contacted by API, the images are uploaded into the Media library to show them the size in the smaller (optimized) size. You can either delete theme images or delete posts from these images, and the images would be deleted from the site.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.

    Hi,

In case that I delete Instagram images from my media library, then the Instagram section at home page doesn’t show them and it appears blank. You can make a test your self to validate this.

In addition every time that a new Instagram post is made from the client’s social profile, will the same image be uploaded automatically on media library of the e-shop? This way library of the site will be filled with many images from Instagram in the future. Isn’t there a way to avoid this?

    Regards,
    Dimitris

    Hello,

If you delete the images in the Elementor widget, they would not appear, at the same time the code would upload them in the Media library in two hours.

The old images are not deleted automatically, you will need to delete them manually.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.

On my case I don’t use Elementor but WP Bakery builder.

At my Instagram settings I just select API request type with “8” Number of photos at Content.

As I understand this way my 8 latest IG post-photos will be uploaded each time at my media library in order to be appeared at the Instagram section of my site? And I will have to delete manually each time the old post-photos?

    Hello,

Instagram API works as described in this documentation: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/instagram-api/guides/content-publishing/

We do not have any functionality to upload the images in other way. Instagram outfeed 25 recent images which are uploaded to Media library for cropping and showing on the site. Every 2 hours the images are checked if this image still exists in Instagram.

    Please check the documentation.

Hi, I also have noticed this strange behaviour on my website. Could you program a better solution for the future? Instagram is an external source and should not be confused with the wordpress media library. Many other plugins can handle this without being invasive in the media library. Please adjust that, I will not buy other plugins only for this simple feature.

    Hello,

It is necessary to control the image size, otherwise, there is no other tools to change the size.

When you upload new images to Instagram and the old one are not in the Media, you will need to delete the duplicate manually.

Unfortunately, there is no other way.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.

    Best Regards
