Recent Posts Widget – Number of Posts to show

Hi, I appear to be having issues with the recent posts widget not respecting what amount I enter to be displayed. Regardless of what I insert (and it does save properly) it alwayys displays 8 posts (I want much less as it’s in the footer) but it won’t change.
I’m running the latest theme version and Wooddmart Core plugin as well as all other plugins, any ideas why this is not working? Url in private comment should it be any use.

Please check the settigns in the Dashboard > Settings > Readings. You will find the number of posts on the page, please set the number as per your needs.

My ‘blog pages show at most’ setting is to display 10 items, I see only 8 in the footer and when I change this value to 4 I still see 8 items.
It’s not the issue, the widget allows you to set how many items appear but it is simply being ignored.
Any other ideas?

Please provide your site admin access to the private area as well as the page with the problem.
Please confirm the permit for us to deactivate the plugins not related to the theme and switch to the parent theme for the while of checking what may take up to 15 minutes.

I know but the site is going live on Monday, I need to migrate the build site once as it is so when I’ve done that, it’s environment will give me a staging site I can mess around with and give you a login to although I’ll try the disabling of other plugins etc first myself although I can’t see why any would interfere as the majority are your required ones…
