Related products shows non-related products (custom elementor layout)

Hello,

I’ve implemented a custom product page layout with elementor and added the Products (grid or carousel) block to show related products within the category of the viewed product page (how the original WooCommerce Related Products work). But unfortunately it doesn’t show the products or shows products from different categories (see private content URL’s for examples). In the editor (elementor) it does show the right products.

I’ve also imported the Furniture 2 theme on my staging website and the functionality does work there with the custom layout. All the plugins and theme version are the same with the website where it’s not working. Any idea what i can do?

I’ve read this topic: https://xtemos.com/forums/topic/configure-related-products/ and is it actually true that for the custom layout with elementor there is no replacement for the WooCommerce Related Products (original functionality)? Is this still the case? As on the staging environment it does work correctly.

Tried in the meantime (unfortunately still no solution):

Updated the parent theme to 7.3.4
Deactivated the child theme

Down below you’ll find the login information. This is a live website so please don’t turn on or off any plugins or change themes. You are allowed to go to the custom productpage lay-out to check the related products section settings.

As i said before i’ve already checked all plugins to my staging website where the related products works fine (somehow).

Thanks for details.

Related Products is a section on some templates that pulls products from your store that share the SAME tags or categories as the current product.

For this product e.g: https://www.bamboebaas.nl/product/bamboescherm-gevlochten-180-x-100-cm-zwart-bamboespecialist/

It shows this product https://prnt.sc/22rGYsYQXJvS because they have SAME LowMargin tag.
