Remove "Shop" from bread crumbs

Hello,

I have the Woodmart theme loaded in a dummy test site, as is, the way it came, with no changes made to it or the woocommerce base install. I have done this for reference purposes only. This way as I work on the development site I can refer back to the clean install to see what was the original state, etc.

I have noticed something about the bread crumbs that is quite different between this base instal and my development site, and I can’t find where the setting is to effect this difference.

on the base clean install site the bread crumbs are as follows
Home>Categories>Product

on the development site I see
Home>Shop>Categories>Product

How is it that the clean install is hiding “Shop”? I believe I would also like to hide “Shop”, but I can’t seem to find where the setting is to hide “Shop”. Can you please direct me to an explanation as to how one can achieve this?

We are glad to know that you have considered using WoodMart for your web-site. I hope you will be happy with it.

Breadcrumbs functionality is a part of the WooCommerce plugin and there is no option in settings to remove it. Shop page can be hidden in breadcrumbs only in case you remove it completely from your website. Otherwise, you will have to modify plugin’s files but we don’t have instruction for that.

First we are not considering using WoodMart, we have purchased it, as well as extended support, and several other components to make it function the way we intend. As they say we are all in.

Problem is we can not get a straight answer to the original question. Why is “Shop” showing up in the bread crumbs our personal test site but not on the WoodMart test site.

This is NOT what we want. We can’t figure out where the setting is that gets rid of the “Shop” in the bread crumbs. Everything looks the same in the two sites. I’m sure it is a simple setting but I cant find it. Can you please tell me where this setting is so we can set it like the base site.

Could you please check how it works with some default WordPress theme like twentysixteen to understand is it our theme issue or not?
