Replace main product image with a default image on a category page

Dear sir/madam,
I have a client that has a tabacco webshop in the Netherlands. For a new law we have to replace the main product image of the tabacco products on a specific category page with a default image. I have tried several things in the functions.php to replace the main product images, but without success. Could you give me the correct code for in the functions.php to replace the main product images of the products on a specific category page?

Unfortunately, Woocommerce does not provide the option and our theme does not either. I will check with our dev team if it is possible to customize or suggest how to do that, however, we do not promise we would be able to implement as our support does not cover Woocommerce customization.

According to documentation on various websites, it should work. See link with all possible action hooks. woocommerce_before_shop_loop_item doesn’t seem to work with theme woodmart.

I have checked with the dev theme, unfortunately, there is no quick solution to the issue. Such a change would require complicated customization that is not covered by our support.
