Search field resaults lead to shop page

I have an issue with search field in header, it shows results for search term but when you hit enter or click on view all results it leads to shop page not the result page.

Please deactivate all the 3rd party plugins and activate only theme-required plugins on the site and then check the issue. I am sure your issue will be solved. Then Activate the 3rd party plugins one by one and check which plugin is creating the issue for you.

Otherwise, if the issue still exists then keep the 3rd party plugins deactivated and share the WP admin login details of your site so I will check and give you a possible solution.

It’s the same with all the plugins deactivated. Also extra description also doesn’t show. I installed plugin healt check for troubleshooting, so I can’t keep troubleshooting mode all the time, but you can enable it when you login.

01. Now check back your site and check the issue. I have disabled the custom layout for the shop page and created a new layout and used the product archive widget in the layout. Then navigate to Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Product catalog > Shop page disable “categories”.

02. You are using the custom layout of the archive pages. you have to use the Category Extra Description widget in the layout which you have created and used for the product archive pages, then it will show the Category Extra Description under the category pages

01. Can you explain what was the problem with my layout, I would like to choose which categories to be on shop page and not to make a mistake again. Also, how can I remove this extra search that is now showing, snapshot is in the attch.
I didn’t understand about Shop page disable “categories”, there is only an option to show categories or products on shop page.

You need to use the product archive widget in the layout. The Extra search comes from the “Relevanssi Live Ajax Search” plugin. Please check the plugin settings and disable it.

Because you were using the only categories that is why I have chosen the “categories” in the Shop page display.
