For example, when I do a search for “Apple” within category “Banana”, I get in the search results banana and apples. It is strange, because I don’t have “apple” within the category “banana”. It does a general search instead of specific category search.
This is the search functionality at the menu where you can select a category.
Can you help me to fix this?

Please elaborate on what issue you are actually facing with the help of a video or screenshots to check it myself and help you out accordingly.

If you type “Apple” select category Desktop, it searches for every product with the name Apple. Category Desktop does not have anything with the title Apple in it.

Please deactivate all the third-party plugins activate the parent theme then clear cache and check back.
If the problem continues then leave all the third-party plugins and provide with the admin panel login details of the website with the permissions to debug then we will troubleshoot with the theme plugins.

I deactivated all plugins and cleared cache but still not working.
This is what I mean, when I do a search on your demo:
https://woodmart.xtemos.com/?s=wall&post_type=product&product_cat=clocksWhen I do it on my website:
https://www.website.com/search/clockI don’t get the “?s=wall&post_type=product&product_cat=clocks” part, that is why it fails.
Hope this is more clear.
