Search Results Issue – Displaying Unrelated Products on Header Search

I am experiencing an issue with the search functionality on my website https://milliquest.com/, which uses the Woodmart theme.

When I search for a specific keyword in the header search, such as “microplate”, the search results include unrelated products. I would like the search to display results based only on product titles and not include any other attributes, content, or descriptions.

Here is my current configuration:

– The Post Type Search option is turned on and set to “Products” only.

Despite this, unrelated products still appear in the search results. Could you please advise on how I can:

– Restrict the search to display results based solely on product titles.
– Ensure that other fields, such as product descriptions, tags, or content, are excluded from the search criteria.

In general, our search is based on WordPress, so please check how it works with the default WordPress theme like Woocommerce Storefront to determine whether the issue is with our theme.

I am not saying this is an issue.
I just want the search to be based on product title so how do I enable this.
Get me any custom function or anything to include in the child theme to enable this.

Also the VIEW MORE RESULTS is going to the category archives page where as it should go to the product pages with the search query.

As I mentioned above, our search functionality comes from WordPress and on your website I see that it works in the same way. You can be sure of that by checking it on the default theme.

Please avoid providing me the repetitive answer.
I have used this search option of yours in other websites as well but why I am facing this issue particularly in this website and I installed Relevansi and it doesn’t solve the issue.
Moreover you didn’t clear my doubt on why it is redirecting to category archive page when it should be going to the product archive page with relevant search result.

Like I said, my main goal is to show relevant search results only.
So help us understand how we could achieve this.

1. We use the default search from WordPress, and unfortunately, at the moment, we do not have a ready-made solution that would change the operation of the default search as you need.

Yeah go ahead and check but be sure to switch back to the theme after you test.

It looks like exclusions in the conditions don’t work when the “Relevanssi” is enabled, so disable it and recheck the issue.
