Search – Sort by Popularity

Sorry for my bad english but
can you sort the search results by popularity?
with 1500 items i would like to have the best-selling items at the top of the search results.
example: When I’m looking for cola, articles come at the top that are not going well and you always have to scroll far down to find your article

Sorry but there is no option in Theme Settings available for that.

It requires customizations and this is beyond our limitations and support policy.

can I edit the product-searchform.php in the child theme? I just want to see the search results sorted by popularity and not by Relevanz..
I can also change it manually afterwards

Sorry but you are asking for core file customizations that are beyond our limitations and support policy.

The default WooCommerce provides settings for the sort that you can find under Appearance >> Customize >> WooCommerce >> Product Catalog.
